TICKETS are now on sale for the Upton Noble Beer Festival (16-17 September). With last year’s inaugural fixture an extraordinary success, the organisers are confident that the second running of the event will match the first for the fun factor.

Those keen to buy their tickets early will reap the benefits of early-bird discounts. Tickets will cost £5 for Saturday entry until 1 August. After this date the price will rise to a still reasonable £7.50, while those buying on the door will pay £10 per adult. Under-18s go free.

“Our Beer Festival is incredible value for money,” said organiser Dan Hurring. “We have so much to offer those coming to our festival and our £5 discounted tickets really are a steal. We’re looking forward to our second event and feel we have even bigger and better ideas this time around.”

Saturday at the Upton Noble Beer Festival will offer entertainment and non-stop music from carefully selected bands and DJs. Additionally there will be a wide range of the best independently-produced craft beers and ciders that the south west has to offer on sale, plus a wide range of wines and soft drinks. Locally-sourced food will be available from a range of independent traders.

Friday night will once again bring festival goers a ‘Pub Night’. Entry is free but numbers are limited to just 250 attendees. There will be music from a great local band and popular DJ, plus a chance to preview all the beers and ciders on offer, including the village’s own Uptonogood Cider, which received incredible plaudits during its official launch night in March.

And while the adults party they can relax in the knowledge that a raft of entertainment is being offered for their children, including a bouncy castle, a craft tent, which is new this time, circus skills and village fête style activities.

Party goers were effusive in their praise of last year’s Beer Festival, with one echoing the comments of all when he said: “I can’t believe that you’ve staged such a fabulous party here. We’ve had the most brilliant fun and can’t wait to come back again.”
