The Upton Noble Beer & Cider Festival Committee is to fund the installation of a Community Public Access Defibrillator in the village before the end of the summer. The committee is working with the Heartbeat Trust to procure and install the device, as well as offer training to local residents in its use. The defibrillator has been purchased with funds raised via the sale of Uptonogood Cider and sponsorship of the festival itself.

This week the committee also purchased a set of picnic tables and benches for the village hall to use for the many community events that take place there. Other projects are ongoing, including the replacement of village road signs which are in a poor state of repair.
