UPTON Noble will be celebrating the Queens’s 90th birthday on Sunday 12 June with a walk/picnic to Alfred’s Tower.

A tractor and trailer will leave the Village Hall at 11am, carrying passengers to Druley Hill, where they will be dropped off at the entrance to the woods with everyone walking along the tracks that lead up to the tower. Donations for the transport will be given to the Willberry Wonder Pony cancer charity, established to help local event rider Hannah Francis. Arrangements will be made to transport picnics (please bring your own) up to the tower for those who don’t wish to carry them.

Cyclists and horse riders are also welcome to join the party.

After a game of rounders and a picnic, the party will retrace its steps and catch a ride on the tractor and trailer back to the Village Hall.

During the evening, the hall bar will be open, while everyone is invited to bring along a supper dish to share.

Transport will need to be booked through Gill Read, tel: 01749 850510; mobile: 07875 404985.
